Lessons

    We offer both English and Western Lessons at Diamond J Farm.  We work on ground work and under saddle.  Our English lesson are for both the Hunters and Jumpers , Western and trail riders.  We work on equitation, pleasure and good horsemanship along with horse and rider combinations.  There are a variety of school horses available to ride at all times.  Riders of all ages join our program starting at 6 years old to older adults. Riders work on flat work and over fences depending on how fast they excel.   We also offer private or group lessons.

    Our Western lessons are working on equitation, pleasure, and gymkhana and trail classes.  The riders learn the parts of the saddle and bridle and how to tack up their horses and general horse knowledge.  Our lessons are about learning and having fun.  Everyone excels at a different pace so we try to group our lessons accordingly.

    We are here 7 days a week. Our students that ride well enough are involved in hunter paces, trail rides and also showing.    Lessons are usually done on a weekly basis.  If you sign up for the month we offer a discount.  Lesson are for about 1 hour.

    Any student interested in showing may do so.  There are a variety of classes available to enter.  A student learns what is involved prior to the shows as in getting the horse ready and cleaning the tack.  We have a lot of fun at the horse shows.

    There is always something new to learn in horseback riding.  Each ride is a new adventure.

Private lessons are $60

1/2 hour private lessons are $40
